For the duration of 2019 and 2020, I worked closely with Sydney marketing agency, I Want It Yesterday. Together, we created content for an A-League focused Instagram page. I really got the chance to test out creative ideas ranging from illustration, animation and photo manipulation with Photoshop. Having the opportunity to mix two of my passions (design and football), it made testing out new techniques and producing quality content effortless.
I took on the ambitious project of creating rotoscope animations. Rotoscope animation is the process of creating animated sequences by tracing over live-action footage frame by frame. Though it can be time consuming, rotoscoping allows animators to create life-like characters who move just like people in the real world.
We decided to use some of the goal of the season contenders as reference and we came up with some pretty awesome results.
