Wesley Mission
During my time at Wesley Mission, I had the privilege of working on a wide array of projects. I was tasked with creating graphics for both print and digital channels that were impactful, maintained brand integrity and responded appropriately to culturally sensitive issues.
Below are a few examples of projects I worked on ranging from print media aimed at external clients to a social media guide focusing on ways we could optimise content for our viewers.
The brief was to create collateral which could be handed out to our target audience detailing the location of the new Wesley Training Centre. Due to the amount of copy and information the client wanted to present, it was decided that a DL flyer was most suitable.
While adhering to brand guidelines, I was given the freedom to be more adventurous so I created some useful illustrations to accompany the copy.
During the early stages of lockdown, everyone was understandably going through a period of uncertainty. To combat this, we decided to hold regular catch ups throughout the week with a different theme each day. This gave everyone an opportunity to discuss any concerns, chat in an organic way with colleagues and share a laugh in a time where we needed it most.
I was tasked with designing these digital posters which were sent out each morning to inform staff on the various topics we would discuss. I decided to use fun bright colours and lighthearted illustrations which would hopefully bring a sense of calm in an otherwise difficult time.
As our design team were reviewing a few social posts, we all came to an agreement that it needed a slight refresh. It was slightly outdated and due to ever-changing dynamic digital space, we all saw room for improvement. I put my hand up to explore new concepts and ideas that we could implement.
Rather than reinventing the wheel, I decided that the best way to approach this was to provide a few principles with detailed reasoning behind our decisions. These ideas were soon adopted and we began to implement them when creating content.
